Flooring does not price like retail: customers buy area, suppliers sell boxes, and the two only meet after coverage, waste factor and product type have had a say. On Shopflooring, a room size resolves to linear feet, boxes, square footage and a priced estimate, with the waste factor applied before the box rollup.

Supplier catalogues that disagree

Twenty-plus supplier price lists are normalised into one schema, 2,257 supplier photos are matched on exact SKU, and a catalogue of 118,651 rows stays searchable across all of it.

Heavy goods, real freight

Freight is rated in real time before checkout, with density and weight calibrated per category, and large orders can be financed through Klarna, Afterpay or Affirm.

Atelier, our room visualiser, places sixteen procedural floor materials into a photo of the customer's own room and returns square metres and an installed cost, entirely in the browser.

Can an online flooring store sell by the square foot and ship by the box?

Yes — that is the pricing engine's job. The customer enters an area, and the engine resolves it to boxes and a priced estimate per product type, with waste applied before rounding up to whole boxes.

Can customers see a floor in their own room before ordering?

Yes. Atelier segments a photo of the room in the browser, places the chosen floor into its perspective and returns square metres and an installed cost, without the photo leaving the device.

How is freight handled on heavy flooring orders?

It is rated in real time before checkout, with density and weight calibrated per category, so the quote stops being a guess and financing can include it.
